I am currently treating HPV warts. Do the strands that cause warts cause cancer? Is penile cancer rare in circumcised men?

In brief: Not so much

The really nasty warts are usually caused by strains that are less likely to produce cancer, but don't get complacent.
The good news is that if you keep a good eye on yourself and your physician checks you regularly, you can get any little cancers removed before they mutilate you. Checks every few months for the rest of your life should be okay.

In brief: No worries

Different HPV types cause warts than cancer. Penile cancer is very rare in both circumcised and uncircumcised men.
Equally important, all penile cancer is easily cured if diagnosed and treated early. See a doctor if you develop any unexplained future penile bumps or sores. If that were to happen, it's probably 20 or more years in the future.
