Mom needs knee replacement surgery but is scared about blood clots. But if they put her on blood thinners it would be impossible to get a clot right?

Nothing is ever. impossible in medicine but to reduce the risk of blood clots post knee replacement there are a number of medications that are effective. I am certain that her surgeon is aware of and uses these regularly but discuss it with him/her pre-op to be reassured.
