In brief: Weaning
Wean slowly. Cut one breastfeeding session every few days.
Replace it by giving the baby a bottle or cup. I recommend cutting the first morning and bedtime feedings last. If you get too engorged to cut a session completely, pump just enough to feel comfortable. Remember the more milk you remove, the more milk your breasts will make. If you remove less milk, the supply will go down.

In brief: Wean BF gradually
To stop breastfeeding you should take one breastfeed away every 2-3 days.
When you are no longer engorged you can take away another feed and replace it for formula. Continue this until all feeds are replaced.

In brief: Wean
Decrease the number of feeds each day.
Eventually your baby will just stop.
