When you have blood in your urine where does it come from?

Urinary tract. Blood in the urine is coming from somewhere in the urinary tract which includes the kidneys, the kidney tubes (ureters), or the bladder. It may also come from the prostate (benign enlargement or cancerous causes). Blood in the urine should always be evaluated for the prescence of cancer, even if there is no pain or if it resolves on its own without treatment.
Urinary tract. Anywhere from kidneys, to urethra- ureter, urinary bladder. Can also be a sign of coagulation or bleeding disorders. Please check with your doctor.
