In brief: NSAID

An over the counter NSAID such as naprosen or Ibuprofen would be a good start.
If you need stronger or longer term medications i would consult a physician.

Topical NSAIDS like Voltaren Gel or Pennsaid may also be great options

In brief: Topical Medication

Arthritis localized to the hands is often well treatment with topical anti-inflammatory medication.
I like voltaren (diclofenac) gel. Pennsaid is another option. Both of these are well tolerated with little stomach irritation.
