Age 50 and older. Neck, shoulder, and hip pain with stiffness.
Often the stiffness is worse in the morning. Associated with fatigue, fever, and weight loss. Association with giant cell arteritis. Usually the ESR, CRP, , or both are elevated. Often the patient has a normocytic anemia.
