Suffer from LPR symptoms but reflux, allergy and infection meds not done anything. Physical exams clear. Thinking of elavil (amitriptyline) and gabaplentin for LSN?

In brief: GI consult

LPR often requires twice daily dosing of the PPI.
If the problem is from bile , Carafate (sucralfate) may be more effective. If the problem is resistant to medical treatment , surgery may be needed. Elavil would not do much for you and may in fact worsen the LPR.

Uncertain if Elavil would make it worse however.
