Just had an invasive tooth apicoectomy. Now, other small side of mouth has a soreness to my tongue contact. A lot of people have cancer. Can this be?

In brief: Slow down...

.... relax. You've had an invasive procedure.
It is expected that you will be sore, probably for a while. Does it make sense that because you have pain following a procedure that you've suddenly developed oral cancer, based on that one symptom alone? No, it doesn't. Lesions need to be visualized and often biopsied to be diagnosed, so discuss your concerns with a local oral surgeon.
