In brief: No

Many women have children after the age of 38.
If may be more difficult to get pregnant though. If you are unable to conceive on your own after 6 months, consider seeking assistance from your ob/gyn or a fertility specialist, a reproductive endocrinologist.

As women marry on average at a later age, it is more and more common to see women starting their families in their mid-thirties and beyond. I hope it's not too old as i had mine at ages 36,38 and almost 41! ;-)

In brief: Too old for a baby?

You are not too old at 38 to have a baby.
You will not be as successful as a younger woman. We can test for your fertility potential. You have lost about 50-70% of your peak fertility at age 27. Pregnancy is safe at your age. Don't delay if you want a baby. See a fertility specialist for details.
