In brief: Depends on dose

While doses up to 300 mg per day are generally considered safe, even doses up to 100 mg have been reported to cause "mild" insomnia - so I assume more profound insomnia could be caused by CoQ10 depending on your dose.
Also, CoQ10 itself does not raise heart rate, but arrhythmias (abnormal heart rhythms, including fast ones) have been reported with CoQ10 interacting with other medications. TTYD.
