Lately at times I get a random burning sensation on my left side of chest. What could be reasons for this?

Burn pain. Your question raises more questions. Left side relates to chest wall lung lining, lung, esophagus or stomach. At your age nerve pain should be rare. However given all of the above more detail assessment is needed and evaluation with an internist is a good start.
