What exactly does this MRI say? Broad shallow disc protrusion a C5-C6 causing mild narrowing of the central canal with slight effacement of the spinal

Disc protrusion. Based upon the brief description, you have a disc which is spreading beyond its normal confines just a bit. This can be enough to cause pain in the center of your neck, but since it is described as mild, it is not likely to cause "shooting" pains down your arms, for instance.
