How long to improve cholinergic urticaria when taking antihistamines at recommended doses (ex. 20 mg cetrizine)? week, month, year?

In brief: Unknown

Although cholinergic urticaria may subside with time , we have no idea as to whether or when this may happen.
I usually advise my patients to take an antihistamine about 1-2 hrs prior to exposure to situation where their body heat would likely rise instead of using it on a regular basis.
