My CT scan showed a 3 mm right interpolar calyceal stone. What is the interpolar region of a kidney?

Middle of kidney. The interpolar region is the middle of the kidney. Radiologists divide the kidney into three parts: the upper pole, lower pole, and the interpole (which is in between them). I hope this helps.
Kidney pole. The inter poker areas are the boomerang shaped areas. This is where urine is initially made after being filtered by blood. Stones here typically don't cause a lot of pain. Stones cause most pain after moving into the ureter where there is less space and the get stuck and block urine flow from the kidney. .
