Ive had pain in my left side and back. Been to my dr several times and put on antibotics for infections. Pain is worse could it be kidney stones/fail?

In brief: Unlikely a stone

Would want to know if pain is intermittent or steady.
Kidney stone pain usually comes and goes is associated with nausea/vomiting, radiates from the flank to the groin, and most importantly, usually makes the patient feel like moving. Whereas pain from say, a sprained muscle in the back would make you hesitant to move, the pain from a kidney stone often makes you feel uncomfortable sitting still
