Confused by research. Should patients with rosacea aim for a lower 25-hydroxy Vit D level? My level is now healthy. Will this exacerbate rosacea?

I say "No" There are a lot of rosacea patients and it's easy and cheap to test vitamin D levels. There are contradictory results about vitamin levels and the results of therapy, as I'd suspect if in fact there wasn't any real relationship. Further, rosacea is very manageable and vitamin D deficiency is really bad for the rest of your body. Ignore any "pop" source recommending you make yourself deficient.
