Can a 14-year-old girl get stomach cancer? Symptoms are bloating of the upper abdominal and a feeling of something stuck in her throat and chest.

In brief: Physician evaluation

Dear Julie: While it is unlikely for a 13 year old to get stomach cancer, her symptoms are not normal and she needs to be seen by her pediatrician to figure out what is causing them. I hope this helps.
All the best, Ariel

Dr. L-C is correct. However, splenda (sucralose) and sorbitol (gummy candies, sugar free mints, gum), can cause awful stomach cramps, bloating and pain, especially in kids (and me! Diet sweeteners aspartame or saccharine will not do this.
