I got a cold sore on my bottom lip the other day and the pain radiates to my jaw and ear. The pain is like having a bad cavity and an ear infection.

Tes. The canker sores can be painful. Since you only have 1. You really do not need the anti viral medication. Take some Tylenol (acetaminophen) it ibuprophen for discomfort. Go see your doctor and have the lesipn frozen. This resolves the lesion quickly for you .
