My GI has prescribed MiraLax (polyethylene glycol) to take daily for IBS-C. He has prescribed me 30g which is double the recommended dose. Is this safe or can it be toxic?

In brief: Safe

Miralax (polyethylene glycol) is a non-absorbable molecule, it may cause you to have some abdominal pain as it absorbs water in your gut.
but otherwise is safe.
