Can you have a mensical tear even though the MRI says you don't? How accurate are MRI'S? Can someone get a frozen knee like a frozen shoulder?

In brief: Yes

Meniscal tears are sometimes missed if: they are in the 'perphery'( near the joint capsule), longitudinal( like a straight line), small.
.. And most importantly, performed in a poor- quality scan(old, less- powerful magnet)and read by a radiologist who is not adept or experienced in reading musculoskeletal MRI scans...Regional pain syndrome(old 'RSD') may leadto a stiff knee.(uncommon). GL!
