In brief: Yes

100% of patients with recent infection with syphilis will develop antibodies by 90 days.

In brief: SYPHILIS TESTS

hello ~ The RPR is the definitive test for syphilis.
It goes up to 1:32, 1:64, 1:128 etc BUT TREATMENT of primarty syphilis with bicillin LA (benzathine penicillin) pen 4.2mill units weekly x 3 treats it. The RPR drops but it may not go to NEGATIVE. As long as the positive RPR is LOW TITRE ( not >1:2) this means TREATED. IF RPR is rising then treat AGAIN. FTA Abs can remain +ve for life thank
