In brief: Get to er

Leg pains accompanied by shortness of breath is a pulmonary embolism until proven otherwise.
Typically preceeded by a clot in the leg. Redness and swelling may occur. However if the clots are higher up in the pelvis the redness and swelling may not be apparent. Pts with hypercoagulable states are prone to spontaneous clotting and need lifelong blood thinners. Need a ct scan of chest in ER asap
