Have bumps on the back of my tongue, similar to a pimple but same color as my tissue and no pain or discomfort at all, what is it?

Sounds normal... I'm guessing you are noticing normal circumvallate papillae. Typically there are 7-9 of them in a shallow V-shaped row across the back of the tongue. Each one is about 2-3 mm (1/8") in diameter. Google it and look at photos. If you have something different, check it out with your doctor or dentist.
Taste Buds. These are usually inflamed taste buds. If you notice them growing, have them checked out by your physician.
