Which side usually hurts with pancreatitis? Is pancreatitis pain associated with right side pain?

Pancreatitis pain. The pain of pancreatitis can be in the right upper part of your abdomen or could be in the middle upper section (the epigastrium) and can also seem to pass right through your body from the front to the back. It's typically described as a burning or stabbing sensation.
Left or middle. Your pancreas is located on the left side/upper part of your belly. Pancreatitis can cause left upper/middle abdominal pain, nausea, and vomiting. You can get right sided pain if the pancreatitis is caused by a gallstone, as the gallbladder is located on the right upper abdomen.
