I'm a male and interested in Occupational therapy. Is it unacceptable or frowned upon for a make to be on OT since it's a female dominated profession?

In brief: Occ Therapist

All medical, dental, engineering & their allied professions encompass LGBT & male'/female workers.
However, OT & Nursing since 1971 have barely dented, still hovering near 90%, F : M ratio. You'd be bucking the trend...go 4 it !!

In brief: It's fine

A female-dominated profession needs more males.
Likewise, a male-dominated profession needs more females. In the 20th century, medicine transitioned from a profession of mostly men, to a much more balanced profession now. One should first do some volunteering or an internship, to see if one will fit in as a male pioneer in a female-dominated profession.
