In brief: Lots of reasons

Smoking in China is endemic and studies show that maybe over one million Chinese will die from smoking related causes.
To cut down on the smoking habit in your case will require that it is done under a physician's direction. There are several physical and psychological reasons why you experienced changes with blood pressure and heart rate. It's not easy to stop smoking and medical help is needed.

In brief: Yeah, it does that

Nicotine is similar to chemicals that run all the autonomic processes.
The body gets used to huge levels of nicotine and when you don't get it, everything sort of shuts down. Heart rate decreases, vessel tone changes (increased difference between the top and lower bp number). It gets better in a week or less.
