In brief: Yes

You've probably heard the standard warnings about addiction, marijuana being a gateway drug, what smoking does to your lungs, what marijuana does to your memory etc.
Please see: http://teens.drugabuse.gov/drug-facts/marijuana I hope this helps. Take good care of your health.

In brief: Yes

In general, everything has benefits and risks.
Although cannabis can help with pain, anxiety, and even insomnia, it can also lead to smoke related problems (such as cancer, copd), addiction, and more.

With all due respect Dr. Minich, the idea that marijuana "destroys memory cells in the brain" is a disproven myth. A large body of solid research has not found any sound evidence that marijuana kills any cells except cancer cells. See http://www.drugpolicy.org/blog/does-marijuana-kill-brain-cells and http://www.mit.edu/~thistle/v13/2/myths.html and http://tinyurl.com/3w77qxq

In brief: Opinions vary

This is a simple question with a complex answer. Marijuana has many proven health benefits but also has some hazards, esp.
if used regularly. However, there is surprisingly little evidence that occasional use is hazardous. It is far less dangerous than alcohol and tobacco. See http://medicalmarijuana.procon.org/view.resource.php?resourceID=000141 for a good point-counterpoint by various experts.
