How much water is too much to drink?

Apple juice/lemonade. Old rule of thumb: if your pee looks like lemonade [not pink lemonade!], then you're probably drinking enough water. But if your pee is as dark as apple juice, then probably you should drink more. Check out this water calculator here: http://nutrition.About.Com/library/blwatercalculator.Htm.
Clear Urine. The easiest way to tell if you're drinking enough water is looking at your urine. If it's clear, you're good. If you're peeing every hour and it's always clear, perhaps you are taking in too much water. There are tests (comparng sodium in the blood and urine, for example), but these are rarely necessary.

People do get sick from "water intoxication" but usually only if for example they are unconscious and being fed by tube, have a brain tumor (which should cause other symptoms), or are trying to fool a drug test.
