In brief: Need more info

Are you saying constipation has been present for 6 months, and that weight loss is an issue? This is potentially concerning in an older patient and some additional eval may be needed.
OTC fiber supplements (eg. psyllium) WITH PLENTY OF WATER can help with constipation, but I would also be sure she has been evaluated.

In brief: Speak with you Dr

For the moment relieving the constipation takes precedence over giving more fats.
The following websites will give you important advice. Your infant may need laxatives for a period of time. If there is a large amount of stool in the rectum an impaction may be present. After reading the websites consult your physician to see what he or she recommends. http://bit.ly/1QFtvBm ..http://bit.ly/1VsUjo6
