Sometimes when I'm on my period I have trouble breathing in the shower. I donated blood today(not on my period)and had the same trouble. Why?

In brief: Trouble breathing

It might be from anemia, or a low blood count.
When you lose blood, your red blood cells and hemoglobin levels go down. Hemoglobin, a molecule in red cells, is responsible for carrying oxygen to the rest of your body. If it's low, you will automatically breathe harder to compensate, hence the shortness of breath. See your doctor and get your blood checked to rule out anemia.
