I feel tension constantly behind my eyes as if someone has pulled my optic nerves taught. And there is a faint big black spot in my central vision?

In brief: Eye visit
Any fixed black spot in your central vision that does not resolve indicates an eye problem requiring prompt examination.
With eye pain, could have some kind of optic neuritis, otherwise could have some retinal disorder.

Faint big black spot in central vision is a concern and it definitely warrants immediate dilated exam. Feeling tension in your eyes is most likely due to dry eyes. Dry eyes have many symptoms, and surprisingly tension or pressure in the eyes is not really due to pulling or pressure but Ocular Surface Disease, or Dry eyes. Again, see your EyeMD and get an evaluation.
