THROWING UP AND SICK TO MY STOMACH LOWER BACK PAIN WENT BACK TO THE HOSPITAL AND THEY SENT ME HOME AGAIN?
Back pain vomiting. Was urine checked for urinary tract infections. Any fever, burning with urination or foul smell. Peylonephriris is a possibility. ? kidney infection. This may be just a stomach flu. But if your symptoms continue, you should be rechecked. If you have fevers or if you notice urinary symptoms such as painful urination or blood in your urine this is more likely. Kidney infections can be dangerous if untreated, leading to possible kidney damage. Stomach flu usually lasts about 24 hours whereas a kidney infection will continue. .
See your doctor! If you are throwing up, have abdominal pain, etc., presented to the hospital and were discharged home w/o feeling better, you need a second opinion. Are you pregnant? You need IV hydration, anti-emetics, blood work to monitor electrolyte imbalances from vomiting, and possible imaging (CT A/P). Were you educated on your diagnosis prior to discharge?
