I had sex a week ago he was using protection, but when we finished the condom was just sitting on top and i had only come off my monthly cycle the previous day could i be pregnant or would the condom of been safe?

That being said, condoms have a 15% failure rate for preventing pregnancy. You should consider a more effective contraceptive. Condoms do decrease the transmission rates for certain STDs. Hope this helps.
