I asked my doctor for a genetic test for Huntingtons disease, which is in my family. I have no symptoms, and have not had the test done yet. Can my doctor keep my request confidential from my life insurance physical?

If your doctor does not provide all your records to a Life insurer, they will not consider you. I would speak with your doctor, explain that you have no anti discrimination protection about your possible risk, and postpone the test. Before taking such an important step, , please review the information about HD and all the ramifications--read about them at hdsa.org Request a Healthtap consult.
