I have a painful ulcer on my uvula. Should I get tested for strep?

In brief: Yes

Could definitely be strep throat.
Would get a culture and possibly antibiotics.

In brief: Ulcer on uvula

Ulcers on the uvula can be due to aphthous ulcers (canker sores), infections both viral and bacterial, drugs and certain diseases such as Behcet's disease.
A single ulceration without pus is unlikely strep but if it persists you should have it looked at and a culture taken.
