Doc said it's stronger then panic attacks, brain gets or sends false alarm that lungs are low in o2 feels like suffocating, can't breathe, what is this?

Fight or flight. Your doc may be referring to the 'fight or flight' response which triggers a variety of physical symptoms during a severe panic attack including hyperventilating or rapid breathing. Response can occur spontaneously/for no apparent reason or triggered by a perceived danger. Panic attacks are treatable.
