In brief: See your family doc

You should avoid things that cause your asthma if you know what they are (for instance dust or cats).
There are medications that are breathed in that can help prevent an asthma attack, these need to be prescribed by a doctor.

In brief: Stop smoking ...

The single most important modifiable risk factor is to stop smoking.
SIGN/BTS 2014 recommends (Level B brit-thoracic.org) "Parents and parents-to-be are advised of the many adverse effects which smoking has on their children including increased wheezing in infancy and increased risk of persistent asthma" Weight loss if obese and breathing exercises may have a preventive role, or adjuvant to drugs

In brief: Treat the cause

with asthma you are not stuck with medicines and inhalers.
We propose to treat the cause. The cause is usually environmental like what you breathe dust molds pollens and hidden food allergy. When you treat these you minimize need for medicine and you hardly need breathing meds. This is prevention. To learn more Please visit us at www.ehacstl.com
