In brief: No something else

24y male with "hip & thigh pain" ponders "gout".
Much better hypothesis is sacroiliac joint, SIJ, subluxation disorder, which commonly has associated sciatica; sciatic nerve overlies ventral SIJ. In young males this chronic pain pattern is often incurred during falls pursuing extreme sports; skate/snowboard & BMX worst. See a Physiatrist or Osteopath for hands-on evaluation.

In brief: No

Pain in the back of the thigh is not related to the hip joint.
Gout involving the hip joint is beyond rare.
