Your question? You don't ask a question but if you have been trying to conceive for 2 years without success, it is time to see a reproductive endocrinologist ( a fertility specialist) to find out the cause and what your options are for treatment. Hope this helps.

Do yasmin (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) (ocp) affect growth of male baby?

Not more than a girl. Let's start by saying any medication has the potential to affect a developing fetus. However, the hormones in contraceptive pills (estrogens and progesterones) are also present in even higher levels during a normal pregnancy. So, while they may affect the pregnancy, they are not going to turn your little boy into a girl or anything like that because these hormones are present anyway. Read more...

Does yasmin (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) (ocp) affect growth of male baby?

Do not take. There is no reason to be taking a birth control pill while you are pregnant. I assume you are referring to an accidental exposure early in pregnancy before you knew you were pregnant. The overwhelming majority of these cases turn out just fine with no long term problems. There are case reports of some complications, but they are rare. Stop your pill please. Read more...

My pcp prescribed yasmin (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) for my pcos. Is it safe to take yasmin (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol)? I've heard so many horror stories surrounding this ocp. Should I take any precautions

In my opinion if. U have pcos that should be managed by an obgyn , not a pcp, I am sure your pcp is very good , but an obgyn knows more about that, i personally never prescribe that pill anymore , #1 it has 30 mcg estrogen, # 2 it is a 21/7 pill and for my pts who have pcos they should be on a 24/4 or a 24/2/2 or take the pill continuously and yasmin (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) has drospirinone u have to watch your k+ and no anti-inflammatories. On yasmin (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) for 7yrs. Just finished last pill yesterday. When will I be expected to ovulate again. And how long on average to conceive....

Within a few weeks. You should go back to ovulating within a few weeks of stopping the pill - assuming you had regular cycles before you started the pill. At 23 it should take less than a year to conceive, but seek help sooner if you have known issues like endometriosis. About 85% of couples conceive in the first year of trying. Best wishes. Calender, bodym, temp. 1 check the dates of your period and mark on a calender, if your periods are always on time that can predict mid period as the most likely ovulation day 2 sometimes your body can tell like twinge of pain or cramps 3 chart your temp with a special thermometer(basal body temp)first thing in morning, it will be lowest level at ovulation and than it will rise dramatically. You have to do it for few month. BCP. In general, bcp have minmal long term effects though not everyone tolerates them the same.
