Bitter medicine placed in tooth after root canal will not fade even post-crown. Have altered sense of taste/smell. What's in it, will it go away?

In brief: Taste

you may want to ask your dentist what he/she used.
Ask was some of that material sealed within the tooth.

In brief: Bitter taste

You need to discuss this with your own dentist.
I don't think what you are experiencing is related to any lingering medications used during RCT, especially if the tooth had a crown cemented on over it. If necessary get a second opinion from another dentist.
