In brief: Nope.

Sorry to say, poison ivy is an allergic reaction to the oil from the plant.
It is not a bacterial infection so amoxicillin won't do squat. She should get seen, though, rather than toughing it out. Steroid creams or pills can really pull her through.

Amoxicillin could make it worse if she happens to be allergic to it as well. Has she tried drying agents like Calamine or Caladryl lotion? Typically this goes away within a couple of days, but if a lot of swelling or pain then maybe a clinic visit is warranted.
