In brief: 24 hours

to make sure the Acetaminophen is out of the system. If the extractions were fairly routine, you should have a stable clot after 24-48 hours following surgery, so after 3 days you can consume alcohol in moderation.

In brief: Okay.

You can have a drink shortly after the extraction.
However, you should not mix the alcohol with the narcotic. After a week following the extraction you should not be taking any more Vicodin. If needed, only Tylenol (acetaminophen) or Motrin can be used. The narcotic will be out of blood stream in 24 hrs.

Wouldn't encourage any drinking after extraction as it will impair judgement, reflexes, and set you up for a DUI ($10,000 fine!) 8 days later is safer as long as you have a designated driver available or taxi home. Never drink and drive! EVER!
