In brief: Would depend

If dislocated or broken in joint (intraarticular) if not splinting the toe and surgical shoe is good.
Ice to reduce swelling if present.

In brief: Depends

If the toe fracture is displaced it will need to be reduced.
Most times a simple splint is fine. In some cases a pin might be needed to surgically stabilize the fracture. See your local doctor accordingly

In brief: Fractures

need to be splinted and if there is a dislocation present it will need to be relocated appropriately.
Check with your Podiatrist for proper splinting techniques.
