I've had 4 UTI's in the past 2 months. I finish all the medication as prescribed and they reoccur. The symptoms are not typical ?

In brief: ? IC

30yo female had 4 "UTIs" in 2 months.
Must do culture & sensitivity each time to ID & treat microbes rationally. Some doctors only treat symptoms; is inappropriate. Might be Interstitial Cystitis, IC, which is aseptic & unfazed by antibiotics. Urethral strictures could potentiate truly recurrent infections. Time to see Urologist. IC is highly associated w. Fibromyalgia & Hypermobility Syndrome.

On my Pain Syndrome Board at Quora.com, I discuss the etiology and treatment of Interstitial Cystitis. In my patients with IC & chronic low back pain due to Sacroiliac Joint hypermobility disorder, fusion of the SIJ cured their IC symptoms.

My theoretical model of Interstitial Cystitis is that it represents dysautonomia of pelvic parasympathetics; caused by neural impingements occurring within the region of the pre-sacral neural plexus.
