But not using protection puts you at risk for contracting Chlamydia (or other STI's like HPV)

You can always have unprotected sex, but it is called that for a reason.
Unprotected sex exposes you to various infections as well as pregnancy. At your age it is simply foolish to have unprotected sex. Talk about this if you can with your parents or a trusted adult who knows about these things.
