Alcohol is a short- term treatment for things like anxiety, depression, and sleeplessness. It also makes all those conditions worse shortly thereafter. And, if you continue to use alcohol to treat these conditions, they will likely get worse in the longer term, too. Try a psychologist and learn to deal with life, to understand what causes your anxiety, depression, etc. A psychiatrist would look at the meds.
