In brief: Yes

Lasik is done with anesthetic eye drops.
The light will be bright and you will feel some pressure briefly but no pain during the procedure

In brief: Yes Eyedrops

For Lasik surgery we typically give both a sedative / muscle relaxer (like Valium - Benzodiazepine) and a topical anesthetic like lidocaine gel or proparacaine to numb the surface of the eye.
Patients today typically fell no pain at all during Lasik. There may be an irritation following surgery that can persist overnight. My patients rate it as a "3" on a 10 point scale.
