I got genital herpes but I've only had sex with my boyfriend. I've never cheated. He had a cold sore and we had sex but not oral. How could I get it?

Testing needed. If sexual history is accurate, your partner probably has genital herpes. Many infections are asymptomatic but still can be passed to partners. His oral herpes (HSV1) might also involve his genital area, but more likely he also has HSV2. You need testing to know if HSV1 or HSV2, preferably on swab from lesion, or blood test if too late for swab. Your partner also needs blood test for HSV1 vs HSV2.
