I have severely redundant colon that pushes up into my stomach, excruciating pain and nausea if I had temp ileostomy would I still have same symptoms?

Temporary relief. While redundant colon can cause symptoms especially when it displaces upward toward stomach, ileostomy is only temporary relief. Minimizing bowel content reaching distal colon can help for a while but in general the redundant bowel is subject to torsion or twisting and rather then having the problem of bloating and pain one can go on to develop necrosis of bowel requiring emergency surgery.
