Irregular bleeding between menses may be due to many reasons: cervical pathology, polyps in vagina/cervix, urinary conditions, etc. Based on your periods coming 27-37 days apart, it's also possible that you have some hormonal disbalance. In order to sort this out you should see you Gyn for physical, possibly PAP smear, blood work
